Its official name is Nokia E50 Metal Black. It has a camera and it’s going to be sold in Scandinavia at the end of this year. First time spotted at this Swedish store. What do you think? Would you trade for your steel version? [via mobile-review forums]
I have to disapoint you: it’s already on market, not only in Scandinavia. I was buying my nokia e50 in Warsaw (Poland) last friday and was offered this black one model.
I asked for the “old” one (silver+black sides) and after short consideration decided to stay away from “full black”. Here is why:
- black one has “less proffesional” look (more like SE t630 or something)
- the area around joystick looks somehow cheap and strange (it’s not that “black” like on this picture)
- the old one with “stainless steel” look has IMO definetly more class and style
BTW The price of those model was of course the same. I paid 200 Polish Zlotys for it (with 2 years contract), which is about 60 USD
I agree with lukasz kluj that that original silver and black one looks classier, more professional. Of course it is all a matter of taste … but IMO, the new metal black looks like it belongs in some Russian dance club.I’ll take my silver+black E50 over the other two versions.
I want one so bad. it looks uber sexy.
Ha, Elisha, will you replace your silver one? If I only knew this was coming I might have waited.
I would have waited. But my friend who works at Nokia gave me a bad news – the black one won’t be available in my country… boohoo :|
[3] I guess you can still order one on the internet.
