One of the things that I was missing in my Nokia E50 was an automatic lock of the keypad. It’s a kind of function every phone should have but for some reason Nokia didn’t put it to the Eseries phones. So I went out there to the internet wild and came back with a free autolock application.
You can download it from here and it should work with any 3rd edition Symbian device.
i dono if anyone will reply to me but, if you were to install this autolock, and i believe it said running completely in the background. Wouldnt that drain the battery faster if its a program constantly running?
It shouldn’t have. I started to use this autolock about 1 month ago and I didn’t notice any impact on the battery performance. After all you can still uninstall it if you experience some problems
I had installed this on my E50 and it looked to be working great until I got my first incoming call. I was able to take the call but when the conversation ended, the screen froze showing as though I was still on the call and would not let me do anything else. No amount of button pushing (and pleading with the phone) helped so I was forced to pull out the battery. First thing I did was uninstall this and have had no probs since. I lock the keypad the old fashioned way … with my fingers.

Bundy, you don’t have to be worried about battery getting drained.
so this will have no effect on the performance of the battery?
