Great! Any information about an Update for the E50 without camera?
Simon, sorry, no update for the E50 without camera. I’ll let you know as soon as I know something more.
12345 for lock code wont work… i cant change lock code… help please…
Where are the Dark stripes and Steel themes?
Simon, I’ve got the model with no camera and there was a software update available for me last night. It took a few minutes to complete, but I was successful. Not sure if the upgrades are similar or identical.
Yep there’s a update for RM-171 and it’s
V 06.41.3.0
24-10-2006
You can download themes from Catalogs…
hello, i know this doesnt relate to the firmware update, but theres no other place i can ask this.
My problem is as follows:
One night i was playing around with my settings and i somehow changed the standy screen to Text (now saying “Nokia”) rather than saying the Date in the little blue bar. and ive tried for weeks to try and switch it back to say the date, but i cant seem to remember how i switched the settings, can anyone plz help?

[7] Hi, I’m not sure what you exactly mean by standy screen but try to press the power button and activate the General profile. That way you will have a date shown in the standby screen. Does it help?
hello Jaro, and no, i know that makes the date show up on the “active standy” screen. but my problem is when the screen turns off, and it goes to the white screen, and the blue bar. it used to say the date…in the little blue bar “01\24\07” then right beside the blue bar it would say the time..
I went into some kinda setting but when i go to menu>tools>settings>phone i cant find the option of were it asks u to change it back to either text or date.
I remember changing it and it asking me “text or Date” and isomehow changed it and im not sure were i got to that option.

OK, then you want to go to the Themes – highlight current theme – Options – Edit – Power saver. Hope it helps.
Wow, thats exactly it.
i would have never guessed i was snooping around in themes.
thanks alot, if i need anymore help ill be sure to come back.

You are welcome. You are right, it makes more sense to look for it somewhere in the Display settings.
Hi, just got my e50 w/o cam (rm-171) and tried the software updater – no firmware for your phone… wtf?!
Any idea whether it got pulled?
I have not done the upgrade yet and am getting an average battery life of only 2 days. Has anyone who has upgraded noticed a significant improvement to their E50’s battery life?
