Good news for the overseas folks! I found a store which will ship the metal black E50 outside the European Union. They sell for reasonable price (€272/$355 + shipping) and their website is also in English. The store is located in Switzerland.
How to proceed
1. Go to Digigasin.ch and switch the interface to English (English flag at the top of the page); if you are more friendly with Euro currency choose EUR from the dropdown menu in the top right corner
2. Search for “nokia e50 metal black”. At the moment they offer only the camera model. Click “Buy” and then “Checkout”.
3. Register as a new customer unless you already have an account in this web store.
4. Choose a shipping option
5. Pay. You can pay via bank transfer (you’ll get 3% discount), credit card/paypal, Moneybookers or Postcard and Yellownet. Continue.
6. Confirm and wait. If you chose credit card/paypal option (which most of the people do) you’ll be redirected to the paypal website where you’ll pay for the phone.
7. Wait for your phone to arrive and enjoy. If you come back to this blog and report on how you like it or send me a few pics that would be great.
I hope this will help a few folks out there. I also updated the list of the stores which offer the metal black E50 online. Also this currency converter might come handy.

FYI: I’ve made bad experiences with digigasin.ch (I live in Switzerland). I ordered there my Black/Silver E50 and waited for over 5 weeks! All e-Mails were only answered after a reminder and very brief (I suppose he answers them on a mobile). The ETA when my phone will arrive were always wrong and rather hopes he had. Because I never got the phone I canceled my demand and asked for the money back.
But it’s possible that I just had bad luck.
