Win a GSync unlimited license code for your mobile!
Jaro 9. April 2007 :: competition
It’s holidays time so I prepared a small competition for you today. What can you win? Some useful mobile stuff of course. Last week I reviewed GSync – great application to archive your SMS on GMail account. If you missed it go and check it out to learn how GSync works and how you can use it.
What’s the prize?
You guessed it. 3 of you will receive an unlimited license code for the GSync application. Thanks to Psiloc for providing the license codes.
And the rules?
Everyone can participate. You have 3 options to join:
- make a photo or video with your mobile phone on Easter theme; funny, artistic or a photo series, it’s up to you; send it to contact@nokiae50.info or upload it on the internet
- if you have a blog write an article, review, critique about this website (http://nokiae50.info) or about any Nokia mobile phone (link back to this post so your readers know that your article is a part of this competition); positive or negative, anything counts; articles must be fresh, old ones from your archive don’t count; send me the link at contact@nokiae50.info
- imagine there is no email, no web, nothing but SMS as a medium and you desperately need a job; write your job application to Nokia in 160 characters max.; be creative :)
To increase your chance to win you can participate in all 3 categories. The deadline is in 1 week but if there are not enough participants I might extend it. To avoid any problems in the future you can’t claim the prize. But don’t worry, I really want to give these prizes away! :)
Get in touch by email at contact@nokiae50.info. Let the competition begin!
How fast can you SMS?
Jaro 27. October 2006 :: competition, e50, mobile, nokia, sms
I’ve seen some very fast texters. Some of them can type a message without single mistake twice as fast as me. Now, I’m not the slowest guy also but I still can’t beat James Trusler from Shoreham who is the world’s fastest texter.
James sends about 500 messages from his phone every week. He has used his mobile phone to send messages for eight years, for everything from booking appointments at the hairdresser to wooing the woman in his life. James has his own website where he offers some tips and the SMS trainer.
He is able to type the following text in 67 seconds:
The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human.
Tricky, isn’t it? James made this record 2 years ago. I’m sure there are some skilfull texters out there who are able to beat him. If you think you are faster than James try it out and post your best time in the comments under this article. We will then announce the winner. Let’s see if we can beat James!
