Problems with Bluetooth?
Jaro 16. October 2006 :: bluetooth, e50, nokia, pairing, problem, s60, transfer
Bluetooth is a great technology but sometimes it just doesn’t work. File transfer between pc and mobile phone often fails. Unless there is something really wrong with your pc or phone here are a few steps that should make your Bluetooth work:
1. Unpair all devices. Bluetooth doesn’t like too many paired devices. Go to the settings and delete all pairings.
2. Right-click on the Bluetooth icon in the right bottom corner of your pc screen and stop Bluetooth.
3. Unplug the Bluetooth dongle from your pc and plug it in again.
4. Right-click on the Bluetooth icon and start Bluetooth.
5. Pair your phone with computer. After searching and pairing allow also authorization. This will create more trust between the two devices.
Now you should be able to establish connection and transfer files without any problems.

Repeated alarm for your Nokia smartphone
Jaro 8. October 2006 :: alarm, handy alarm, reoccuring, repeated, s60
Buy Handy Alarm Now! It looks like we will have to wait for the repeated alarm to be implemented in the Nokia Eseries mobile phones. I know that something’s being cooked, I guess it’s even done but as far as I know none of the currently available Eseries mobiles has a repeated alarm feature built in. But wait, there is a solution.
I have recently purchased Handy Alarm for my Nokia E50 and it’s doing its job pretty well. It costs only $12.95 and you can customize it depending on your needs. Here are a few screenshots to give you some idea how the application works and what kind of options it offers:

As you can see you can easily set up alarm to be repeated daily, on work days, on weekends etc. You can then define your work days (some lucky people don’t work on Fridays, others work also on weekends). Handy Alarm lets you choose the sound, this is something that current S60 alarm doesn’t support. It goes without saying that you can create multiply alarms.
Handy Alarm is localized to many languages including Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Latvian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish.
